The Shortfilm Company is managed by Mark de Vaux-Balbirnie. Mark has a background at the BBC and Channel 4 and Channel 5. He has filmed over 800 weddings since starting his own company in 1999. Mark spent many happy years as a camera man on the Channel 4 reality show 'Big Brother' and regularly teaches Video & Drama courses for East Sussex County Council. Mark's reputation has led him to expand the company and he now employs a small camera team to help at busy periods all trained to follow the popular shortfilm format.
From experience most couples feel that their wedding day goes by in a blur and that they do not remember the finer details of the day.
A video is an excellent way of capturing these details, allowing you and your guests to re-live the event for years to come. Videos are no longer obtrusive - its just like having another photographer on the day.
Working in the background using small cameras allows us to work quietly without interruption to your big day. It's our challenge to make your wedding video interesting, fun and enjoyable to watch.
The finished DVD will be sent out to you 6- 8 weeks after the event and will be approximately 1 hour in length. You're welcome to purchase all the unused footage, tapes and SD cards too. We will be happy to supply up to 5 complimentary copies on DVD for close family & friends to enjoy.
We are always happy to recommend excellent photographers who work in the same unobtrusive way as ourselves. We feel it is important that both photographic and video aspects of your special day complement one another. If you need a great photographer just ask.
